Activities that do not qualify as CPD

Not every professional task counts toward continuing professional development. These examples do not typically qualify.

  • Holding a portfolio on the professional Council, Boards or any other structure
  • Time spent planning, organizing, or facilitating any activities
  • Daily ward rounds
  • Written assignments
  • Compilation of student training manuals for internal use
  • Staff and/or administrative meetings
  • Tours and/or viewing of exhibits and technological demonstration
  • Presentations and publications for the public
  • Meetings arranged by pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers or importers of products and technical devices for purposes of marketing their products
  • Lecturing or teaching if it is in your Terms of Reference (TOR)

The professional body delegated by the Allied Health Professionals Council to organize and provide CPDs for Dispensers and Pharmacy Assistants. PPAU may partner with other professional bodies, institutions, organizations, persons and facilities in the delivery of CPD activities.
